The Corte delle Stelle Farm

The History

The Corte delle Stelle Farm

The Villa dates back to 1900. It was purchased by the Micheli family, who protected it over the generations, and gradually was passed down through the family. Great-grandfather Angiolo and great-grandmother Felice made it all happen. The couple had four sons. In the early 1900s, work in the fields was even more tiring than it is today, but it became a valuable point of reference for the growing boys.

Two of the boys decided to leave the Tuscan countryside to pursue prospects in the city. The brothers who remained on the estate, Marino and Ezio, worked hard for a long time raising cattle and tending the vineyard around the Villa. Some years later, Marino and Ezio divided the fifteen-hectare estate between them. Marino and his wife, Palma, devoted themselves to raising pigs. They had two children: Antonella and Gastone, whose dream was to start an agritourism, offering their comfortable villa and a swimming pool.

The Dream Becomes Reality

Since 2010, Gastone and his wife, Catia, have been taking care of the Villa with help from their children, Simone and Sara. Over the years they’ve made improvements and added elements that make it truly unique, such as the Annex and the restaurant, with its cooking school. Here guests are invited to learn how to make pasta, roast meats, or traditional Tuscan desserts alongside the Micheli family women. The team have even become skilled mixologists, and take great pride in the cocktails they happily prepare on their splendid terrace, with its ample views of countryside. Definitely one of the best moments of the day.

The fields surrounding the estate are planted with wheat and sunflowers, but the presence of olive groves and vineyards is the most important part of the farm, and give the landscape a unique and evocative blend of colors. The lush olive trees allow our family to produce an extra virgin olive oil that is reserved for the Villa’s guests only. Take part in a sensorial tour and discover the qualities and aromas of our green gold. Naturally, bruschetta is a key element in this tour!
